XANTERRA BEGINS ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS FOR CAMPSITES IN CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK

CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK, Ore. - July 5, 2007 - Xanterra Parks & Resorts, operator of lodging, dining and retail operations in Crater Lake National Park, is now accepting reservations for a limited number of campsites in the Mazama Village Campground. The remaining sites are still available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The campground is open from mid-June to late September/early October, weather permitting. Located seven miles from the rim of Crater Lake and just inside the south entrance gate of Crater Lake National Park, the Mazama Village Campground has 213 tent and recreational vehicle sites accommodating tents up to 12 feet by 12 feet and RVs up to 50 feet in length.

Xanterra also operates the 71-room Crater Lake Lodge open mid-May through mid-October, and the 40-unit Mazama Village Motor Inn open June through early October as well as the Annie Creek Restaurant & Gift Shop, Crater Lake Lodge Dining Room and boat tours on Crater Lake. The Rim Village Café & Gift Shop opened July 3, 2007 and will remain open year-round.
The 183,224-acre Crater Lake National Park was established in 1902 as the country's fifth national park. The park was created to protect Crater Lake, located in the caldera that resulted from the collapse of a
volcano. At 1,947 feet, Crater Lake is the deepest and clearest lake in the country. It is surrounded by lava walls 500 to 2,000 feet high.
